The TWP Hip Hip Education Summit brings together community, educators, and state agencies to educate and inform about Hip Hop culture and Hip Hop Education scholarship.  The summit will discuss ways to increase teacher diversity and innovative practices and curriculum through Hip Hop Education.

The Summit brings together students, educators, artist, and community members to educate and inform about Hip Hop culture and infuse Hip Hop Education into schools.

We will have a special tribute to Tupac Shakur. His former group member and brother E.D.I Mean will be one of our keynote speakers. The second day we will bus educators and students to view 2pac’s biopic All Eyez On Me.

The Annual Teaching With Purpose Assessment Summit brings educators, policy makers, parents and community together to discuss assessment strategies and share ideas about alternative assessment practices and accountability that empower students.

 

April 20th

8:45am to 3:30pm

  • Learn the fundamentals of alternative assessment development
  • Understanding the Power of Student and Parent voice in assessment
  • Classroom application for deeper and more informative instructional feedback
  • The development and use of exemplary scoring rubrics to provide proper feedback
  • The use of alternative assessments for accountability purposes

Teams of educators from schools and school divisions are encouraged to attend.

Registration fee for the Summit is $110.
